Waterfront Positions

Launch Operators

Our boating season runs from May through mid-October. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Responsibilities include providing safe transportation to and from members’moored vessels using the Club’s launches. Cleaning boats, fueling, assisting with tie-ups, assisting with  boarding, etc. are also part of the responsibilities. Rate of pay is $15/hr plus reimbursement for certification over a 3-year period. Line Cook Position

We are looking for professional Line Cooks to join our team. Enjoy working at a beautiful and relaxed venue that is focused on serving exceptional New England cuisine. We thrive on farm-to-table cuisine in an environment that gives you the freedom to be creative and the opportunity to refine your skills as a chef. We work hard as a team, with positive, can-do attitudes.

Whether this is your first position in the kitchen or a seasoned line cook looking for a change, Portland Yacht Club, a members-only club, is the place to grow your skills. While experience is great to have, we are more than willing to train hard, committed workers.

As a line cook at Portland Yacht Club, you’ll have the opportunity to work our lunch and dinner shifts, as well as work as part of our events team, helping us with weddings, showers, club events, and more.

Our season runs from early May- September. With occasional off-season functions.

Salary: $17 to $19/hour With an end-of-season bonus.
