Schooner Trophy Race

July 4

The Schooner Trophy race is designed for any boat wishing to participate. There will be one division. The race will be held over a fixed course, pre-designed and predetermined so that everyone is comfortable and familiar with the race. The race has been held since 1962 and provides for a fun afternoon of sailing all over inner Casco Bay between Clapboard, Long, Cow, Peaks, Brothers and Little Chebeague islands.

The Schooner Trophy will be awarded to the Portland Yacht Club boat having the lowest corrected time.

Scoring will be done using PHRF-NE ratings. If a boat does not have a PHRF-NE rating certificate, the Race Committee will assign a rating appropriate to the type of boat.
