Spring

Hello Laser sailors and friends,

We are excited to announce that Caleb Robinson will be coaching competitors for all five Sundays of the Spring Laser Series. Caleb started an Olympic Laser campaign in 2018 and has sailed in US Sailing Olympic Team development and training camps. He placed 30th out of 69 at the 2018 Laser North Americans, and has been a training partner and coach of Andrew Lewis, who represented Trinidad in the Laser class at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics

The Spring Laser Series will be starting this Sunday at PYC with a skippers’ meeting at 1100 and a first start at 1200. 15 boats are already registered. For more information contact: Justice Ben Pollard

Summer

The Junior Sailing Program Program runs a small boat racing series on Monday evenings for Optis, 420s and Lasers but if you have another type of sailing dinghy or even a windsurfer you are welcome to join us. We also welcome folks to come out on SUPs or kayak to watch the racing.

The race season begins in the first week of July and ends in mid-August.

Participants can race their own boats but the club has a number of 420s and Optis that are assigned on a first come first serve basis
