Fall Series and Lightship Race
September 14, 21 & 28, October 5, 2013

Nights turn frosty, leaves begin to show their true colors -- it's time for the Fall Series!

The series consists of four Saturday races, three of which begin at 1:00 PM.  These races are designed to last two-three hours, depending on wind.  The first Saturday is the Lightship Race, which sails to the former location of the Portland Lightship, now the location of the Large Navigation Buoy off Cape Elizabeth.  The winner receives the Stanley Moore Trophy, one of the oldest race trophies at the Club.  For starting times and other information, see the Notice of Race.

Traditional Chili & Chowdah are provided after each day's sailing with the ever popular C&C Cook-off on the last Saturday. It is always fun to calculate the points leaders in the PYC Race Series Championship (Pilot, Schooner, Monhegan, Fall Series) as the last weekends fly by.

Dig out the thermals and foulies, come join us -- we'll even provide free moorings on Saturday nights for those registrants who need one.  For questions and mooring requests, contact Race Officer Steph Helms at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
