FOOD AND BEVERAGE AT PORTLAND YACHT CLUB

Good food and drink have always been part of any welcoming community.  This has been true for the Club for more than 50 years.  

Our Dining Room is open to members, their guests, and visiting boaters from mid-May to late September.  Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday, while lunch is available Tuesday through Friday.  Diners have a wonderful view of the water and islands as they relax over good food.  For the 2012 schedule, click here.

Chef Shawn Lewis strives to offer fine dining that meets a wide variety of tastes of our members.  He uses fresh, locally-grown food whenever possible.  Almost every item is made from scratch in our own Kitchen.  The opening menus will be posted here when they are ready.  Menus change during the season, so check back often.  There are also "special" nights throughout the season.  

Portland Yacht Club is a "bottle club" -- that is, members bring their own beer, wine, and spirits.  This allows each member to have his/her own choice of drinks rather than only what the Club could stock.  Moreover, members save money compared to drinks by the glass.  We offer storage lockers for a small fee.  The bar provides set-ups, sodas, and condiments.  

The bar is open during Dining Room hours for lunch and at 5:00 on dinner nights.  The Club provides a bartender during those times.  When the bar is closed it is not available to members.  The Club strictly obeys all Maine laws and regulations governing the service of alcohol.

Our chef also provides food service for Club and member events throughout the year.  If you are hosting a private event here, you will have the opportunity to work with Chef Lewis to plan the meal that meets your needs.
